Brynlee Fashion

These pictures are a little blurry but it was because I was laughing as I took the pictures.
Here is Brynlee showing us the latest line of baby wear for the winter season. Notice the Beatles t-shirt with her hair wispfully pulled up in the back. She has accessorized with her mom's bug eye sunglasses, silver hoop earings and the latest in Cinderella handbags.
She was so funny to watch as she showed off walking across the living room floor like a model. You could tell she new she looked good! lol!

Christmas 2008

Christmas this year was so much fun! We did so many things like a night with Santa at Pump It Up and Breakfast with Santa at the Cuckoo's Nest Restaurant and so much shopping and christmas parties. It's was truly a blast. What was even more fun is Christmas morning. Nick got Rock Band 2 and Star Wars stuff. Alex got a Wii and transformers and Brynlee got loaded up with baby dolls and a little kitchen. All the kids loved what they got and we had so much fun later that day playing the Wii games and Rock Band. I'm surprisingly pretty good with the drums. And Cam sings Pearl Jam and Nirvana songs like a pro. We were so happy to have Nana and Pops there along with Uncle Josh and Uncle Hunter. It was really a great Christmas. On top of all that me and Brynlee have been able to enjoy many tea partys with her new little kitchen. She doesn't like to come out of her room anymore. I really wish we could of had Uncle Ryan's family and Aunt Mallorie's family join us that would have added to the fun. We miss you!

Kami Cooks

Anyone who knows me, knows I am not a cook. Well, this year I proved ya'll wrong! For the first time ever I cooked Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinner. I don't think you can understand how excited I was when it was all done and it all tasted awesome. YEAH! I'm sorry, I have to brag a little, I've just never been much of a cook.

Sorry, I don't have any updated pictures of myself. This will have to do.

Breakfast With Santa Clause

In our town they have this cute thing called breakfast with Santa. You have to sign up way far in advance to come because they only take a small group of kids at a time. What we do is show up and eat breakfast while Santa Clause comes around and talks to each of the kids individually and give them a small gift. The kids love it. Then they get to read christmas stories and sing christmas songs. Brynlee really got into the songs this year,. It was pretty cute to watch. I wish I would have gotten more pictures. Then at the end, each of the kids get to sit on Santa's lap and get their picture taken. Brynlee didn't care much for that, she screamed the whole time. Alex was so thoughtful...he wanted to give something to Santa so he regifted one of the cookies that Santa gave him. I told him that he can't give Santa back his gift and to just go give him a big hug. So Alex blocked the door way as Santa was leaving and held his arms out really big and then Santa give him a huge hug, lifting him off the floor. He was so happy that he got a hug from Santa like that.

Alex's 6th Birthday

Alex chose to have his 6th birthday at "Pump It Up". He was so excited! He got to invite his entire kindergarten class and also all of his other friends from our street. He was really into the Incredible Hulk and Iron Man this year and he seemed to get alot of those kind of toys. It turned out to be a great party

Bring you up to date

Hello All-
I'm sorry I haven't posted anything for awhile now. My camera broke and I haven't been able to download any recent pictures. We've had alot going on though. Nick had his 7th birthday and as of Labor Day we have become new owners of a cute little 15 pound jack russell terrier. Her name is Sophie. She looks and acts just like our old dog Molly. She fits in so well, it's like Molly was never gone.
The kids have been out of school on fall break for 2 weeks, so things have been a little more crazy than usual however, they are all spending the entire week at their Nana and Pop's in Alabama. It's been nice to have some time to relax and at the same time I miss the chaos. Isn't that crazy? I'm sure any of you that have kids can understand.
We've been working on getting our Halloween decorations up and we had to run out and get Halloween costumes because our city decided to have a Halloween in the Park celebration last Saturday. We have never gone to that before but the kids had a blast with the rides, games and all the candy. I'm pretty sure this will be something we do every year. We are just counting down to Halloween right now and then we will be working on Alex's birthday. He is so excited to be 6 years old. According to Alex you can do alot more things when your six. lol!
I will post some more pictures as soon as I get a new camera. I'm hoping to get one by Christmas. cross your fingers.

Back to School

This week was the first week of school. It has been very exciting and chaotic at the same time. Alex started Kindergarten and loves his class so far. The thing he was excited for the most was riding the bus. He couldn't sleep the night before, because he told me he could meet so many new friends on the bus.

Nick started 1st grade and is already reading very well. His teacher has already told me how impressed she was about his reading skills. Of course as a mother, it's a relief that they are acutally ahead on something and not behind. Whew! Nick loves his new class and his new teacher. His favorite things this year is the playground. They got a new spiderman jungle gym and he says it is the coolest thing ever.

As you can tell in these pictures, Nick and Alex don't seem really happy and that is because it is so early in the morning. The bus comes at 6:15 am and that means we are up and at em by 5:00 am. Needless to say the boys are trying to stay awake in these pictures.
